Bus Driver Training
In addition to the School Bus Driver Improvement Program training, activity bus driver applicants are also required to successfully complete Holy Spirit Catholic Schools' online activity bus driver training. The required readings for this training are (1) Holy Spirit RCSRD No.4 Bus Driver's Guide (2) Modules 2, 6 & 8 from the Ministry of Transportation's Commercial Vehicle Safety Compliance in Alberta education manual, and 3) Activity Bus Accident Protocol.
The three online tests below are based on the required readings.
Safety and Maintenance Program
Alberta Regulation 314/2002 requires the school division to implement and maintain a Safety and Maintenance Program. All volunteer activity bus drivers are required to read this program. A copy of the Safety and Maintenance Program is filed at each of the schools that operate multi-functional school activity buses and a copy of the program is also located in each of the school division's buses.
